A Facebook post has surfaced on Facebook group 'We are against Pink Dot in Singapore' that has drawn more than 150 comments.
The group, which describes itself as a public policy discussion platform, is a group that "stands against the normalization of homosexuality within Singaporean society".
It added that it "serves the function of providing resource and networking for individuals and organisations that share the group's policy goals."
The person who uploaded the photograph states that his objective to do so was to:
"1. To make people aware that this brainwashing is true and is going on around us
2. To make people think before they react (especially the young). Many people support without really understanding the implication and this is worrisome.
3. To help parents go through with their children in critical thinking instead of having a herd mentality
4. A thinking nation filled with correct values"
Quite a number of people commenting on the post agree with the author, saying that the teachers were being "sneeky" and that there were "LGBT activists teachers" in schools.
Others however felt that while "it's good to be vigilant", one should not let "paranoia takes [sic] over". A netizen also opined that some of the members of the group "are over- analysing the maths worksheet".
