Local director Jack Neo has yet another feather in his cap.

His latest film, "Money No Enough 3", is the highest-grossing film over the Chinese New Year weekend in both Singapore and Malaysia.

With an ensemble cast which includes Neo, Mark Lee, Henry Thia, Xiang Yun and Patricia Mok, the third instalment of the franchise has grossed S$2.3 million since its Feb. 1 release — of which S$1.54 million was made over the festive weekend.

With the movie still showing in cinemas, its box office numbers are expected to increase in the coming weeks.

It has already outperformed Neo's recent movies such as "Ah Girls Go Army" and "The King Of Musang King".

In a press release, Neo expressed:

"Thank you everyone for supporting "Money No Enough 3" and especially to the loyal fans who have supported and followed the franchise for the past 25 years.

[...]

"Money No Enough 3" is not just a Chinese New Year movie, it is a shared memory for all of us. Let us continue to work harder and make local movies shine brighter! ”

"Money No Enough 3" is among the 24 local movies that have crossed the S$2 million mark in the box office. Out of the 24 titles, 20 are directed by Neo.
