A car skidded and crashed into a fence at the Clementi Police Division Headquarters (HQ) on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024.

The accident, which occurred at 5:55pm, left an elderly man and woman trapped and injured.

The driver, an 80-year-old woman and a male passenger, also 80, were sent to the hospital conscious.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the driver lost control of the car while attempting to make a left turn into Lempeng Drive from Faber Path.

The car then hit the curb and crashed into the fence.

Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers arrived in less than five minutes and promptly rescued both people in 15 minutes, said a Shin Min reader known only as Su.

Su, who lives nearby, said he heard a loud bang followed by the sound of emergency brakes.
