Male motorcyclist, 25, conveyed unconscious to hospital after AYE accident with taxi

A 25-year-old male motorcyclist ended up in hospital after an accident with a taxi along the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE), on Monday morning, Jan. 22.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership that they were alerted to a road traffic accident along AYE towards Tuas after Lower Delta Road exit at about 9:05am.

Police said a male motorcyclist was taken to hospital after an accident involving a taxi and a motorcycle, The Straits Times reported.

The 25-year-old man was unconscious when taken to National University Hospital.

Pictures of the aftermath

In a photograph of the accident's aftermath circulated online, two motorcycles were seen parked behind a silver car on the second lane of the AYE.

A person could be seen lying on the road.
