The technical issues facing the websites of public hospitals and polyclinics in Singapore were caused by an internet access disruption, said the National University Health System (NUHS) and SingHealth.

The websites have reportedly been down since around 11:30am on Nov. 1.

When Mothership tried accessing the websites at around 4pm, they remained inaccessible.

Internet access disruption

In response to Mothership's queries, SingHealth said that the technical issues were caused by an "internet access disruption affecting all public healthcare clusters".

"Services requiring internet applications like websites are inaccessible. Clinical services remain accessible and unaffected," it said.

NUHS posted a similar statement on its Instagram account, noting that its websites, contact centre, emails, and some features on its OneNUHS app are temporarily unavailable.

Both healthcare clusters said they are currently working with the national health tech agency Synapxe to resolve the issues and apologised for any inconvenience caused.

Synapxe also issued a Facebook post on the matter.

Mothership has reached out to the National Healthcare Group and the Ministry of Health for comment.
