The woman who allegedly subjected a Singapore General Hospital (SGH) staff to verbal abuse is now facing another allegation of moonlighting as a hostess.

Applied for work permit as a "clerk"

Regarding the allegations of abuse, 29-year-old Han Feizi was charged in court on Oct. 13, 2023, with a total of six charges, including using abusive language against a public service worker or public servant, harassment, assault and public nuisance.

According to CNA, Han was handed two additional charges on Oct. 24 under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.

Charge sheets showed that she is accused of falsely declaring in her application for a work permit that she would work as a clerk for a company called KDL Elements, even though she did not intend to do so.

They alleged she moonlighted as a freelance hostess at various locations from Aug. 1, 2023, to Oct. 11, 2023.

Appeared "fresh" in court

According to CNA, Han, who had no lawyer, appeared “fresh” and wore large black-rimmed glasses.

She spoke through a Mandarin interpreter, stating she intended to plead guilty to all the charges.

Han, who is currently in remand, also asked if she could post bail, and the judge replied that she was already offered bail.

The judge told her that the bail centre might have rejected her proposed bailor.

Han then asked if she could make an overseas call to her hometown.

According to CNA, Han said she had “credit card debts”, and her mortgage was due for payment.

She also said she had no friends or family in Singapore.

She is scheduled to plead guilty on Oct. 25, 2023.
