A segment of Orchard Road will be closed to vehicles from 6pm on Dec. 24 to 2am on Dec. 25 for a Christmas Eve party.
This is part of this year's Christmas On A Great Street festivities, which will also include the Orchard Road light up.
For the first time, there will be a Christmas Eve street party, which will see the stretch of Orchard Road between Paterson junction to Bideford junction closed to traffic.
The street party will take place from 8pm to 12:30am.
The highlights of the street party include:
- A countdown to Christmas, projection mapping and special effects on the façade of Singapore Hilton Orchard
- Meet and greet with Santa, along with mascots such as a gingerbread man and the nutcracker
- Christmas carolling
- Street dance performances
- Christmas market
- Food trucks
- Photo booths
- Roving magicians and balloon sculptors
