Chinese former premier Li Keqiang dies at 68 due to heart attack: state media

Li stepped down from the premiership in March 2023.

Former premier of the People's Republic of China, Li Keqiang, passed away at around midnight on Oct. 27, 2023, after suffering from a "sudden heart attack," reported state-owned media News.cn.

He was 68.

According to News.cn, Li was "resting" in Shanghai recently.

In March 2023, Li stepped down as Chinese premier, a role he assumed ten years ago in 2013.
