Maryam Didih, director of Hjh Maimunah, told Mothership that they decided to open a stall at Clementi because they noticed that many of their customers from the west would travel to the east just for their nasi padang.

This is Hjh Maimunah's first outlet in the west.

"We decided to open our first outlet in the west side of Singapore to be able to give westsiders more Malay food options," said Maryam, adding that they chose Clementi Mall because it is accessible by MRT.

There is a wide range of dishes on offer at the Clementi stall.

"Our menu features over 40 items which include our signature Beef Rendang, Lemak Siput Sedut, Lontong and Nasi Sambal Goreng," said Maryam.

With regard to special dishes, Maryam recommended the Original and Premium Ambeng Platters which are a "feast for the eyes and very popular with groups and families who love to share a meal together".

Also opening at Westgate

The nasi padang business is not stopping its expansion into the west.

Maryam revealed that they will be opening another stall at Westgate on Nov. 15.

On opening day at Westgate, Hjh Maimunah will be offering its set meals at only S$5.
