Singapore Airlines (SIA) has been voted as Singapore's Most Attractive Employer for 2023, according to a survey commissioned by recruitment agency Randstad Singapore.

A press release by the agency said this marks the sixth time SIA has "captured the hearts" of employees and jobseekers as the best company to work for in Singapore.

Changi Airport Group came in third

A total of 2,753 locally-based respondents participated in the survey.

They were asked to evaluate Singapore’s 75 largest commercial companies and institutions that are known by at least 10 per cent of the local population, based on their relative employer brand awareness and attractiveness.

The evaluation included factors such as "salary and benefits", "good work-life balance" and "career progression opportunities."

SIA was followed by U.S. conglomerate Danaher Corporation in second place, and Changi Airport Group in third place.

Other firms that made it to Randstad's list of the top 10 firms to work for in Singapore included Marina Bay Sands (sixth), Dyson (eight), DBS (ninth) and ExxonMobil (10th).

The airline's previous claim to top position was in 2020, prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.

SIA also the only employer to be inducted into the Randstad Employer Brand Hall of Fame

Randstad also highlighted that SIA is the first and only employer to be inducted into the Randstad Employer Brand Hall of Fame, on account of being the company with most votes for Most Attractive Employer from 2012 to 2014.

The agency further described SIA's 2023 achievement as a "testament to its employer-centric" approach.

"The airline's focus on fostering a supportive work environment and prioritising employee growth has made it a standout choice for job seekers and a benchmark for other companies," Randstad added.

SIA's chief executive officer, Goh Choon Phong, was quoted by Randstad as saying that he was grateful for "outstanding colleagues", who dedicate themselves to offering the best possible travel experience for the airline's customers on a daily basis.

Goh added: "This recognition from Randstad validates the SIA Group’s longstanding commitment to attract and retain talent in Singapore and around the world."

"We know that the SIA Group can only remain competitive and resilient in a dynamic operating environment by offering our people a meaningful and rewarding career, taking care of their well-being, and prioritising their growth and development."
