If you frequent the Tanjong Pagar area, you might have heard of Nesuto, a cafe that sells Japanese and French-inspired cakes and confectioneries.

Come late July, the cafe is opening a new egg-shaped outlet at Jewel Changi Airport.

The cafe seats 30 and the concept is inspired by, well, an egg and a nest.

The outside of the cafe is curved and hand painted to mimic the shape and texture of an egg, while the inside primarily uses warm autumn-inspired hues, seen in their copper partitions and natural light wood fittings.

Here's a look at their offerings which are exclusive to the Changi outlet:

Matcha Chestnut (S$12.90++)

It's an Uji matcha mousse cake with a light custard base, chestnut mousse with chunks of chestnut, and is topped with Uji matcha chantilly cream and kuromame (sweet black soybean).

The matcha and chestnut made a surprisingly good flavour combination, with a very rich taste of matcha and a hint of sweetness.

Chocolate Orange (S$11.20++)

It's a chocolate sponge cake paired with a house-made orange compote and an orange-infused dark chocolate ganache.

The chocolate was very rich, but the combination of it with the zesty orange compote was perfect.

Whiskey Chocolate (S$11.90++)

The cake is a combination of chocolate, whiskey, and a little cinnamon.

Be warned that this dessert has a strong alcoholic scent.

Chocolate Bon Bons (S$3.86++ per piece, S$23.14++ for box of six)

The Chocolate Bon Bons features a wide variety of flavour combinations, including:

• Earl Grey and Bergamot
• Sesame Rum
• Passionfruit and Hazelnut
• Raspberry and Lime
• Rose and Pistachio
• Smoked Dark Chocolate and Caramel
