In the video, a motorcycle could be seen lying in the middle lane, while a blue lorry was on the left lane a few metres ahead.

A police blue tent could also be seen placed on the grass patch beside the lorry, and at least six police officers were present at the scene.

Some personal items were scattered across the road.

According to Shin Min Daily News, after colliding with the van, the motorcyclist fell to the ground and was dragged by the lorry driving behind them for around 30m.

In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force confirmed they were alerted to an accident involving a van, a lorry, and a motorcycle along Bedok North Road towards Tampines Avenue 10 on Sunday at about 3pm.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Shin Min also identified the motorcyclist to be Mohamed Rezeini, whose unfortunate passing shocked and saddened many of his friends.

A number of them subsequently paid tribute to him via a series of social media posts, thanking him for being the "backbone" of the group and showing "a great example [on] how to be a better person".

One friend also told the Chinese paper that Mohamed worked as a full-time delivery rider for foodpanda.

In response to Mothership's enquiries, foodpanda confirmed that the victim was delivering for foodpanda during the time of the incident and said it is deeply saddened by the accident.

"We have contacted his family to extend our support through this difficult time and provide assistance for insurance processes (all foodpanda delivery partners are covered by insurance while on session). Our deepest condolences to his loved ones," the statement read.
