Bukit Panjang resident finds man's body beside block after hearing 'loud thud'

Based on preliminary investigations, the police do not suspect foul play.

A 33-year-old man was found dead on a grass patch in front of Block 235 Bukit Panjang Ring Road yesterday (Jul. 13).

Police said that they were alerted to the case of unnatural death at about 12:50pm.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic.

Resident heard a loud thud before noticing motionless body

Koh, a resident who stays in the opposite block, told Mothership that she heard a loud thud at about 12:45pm, so she went down to investigate.

She found a man lying motionless on the grass patch in front of Block 235 and hurriedly called for an ambulance.

Koh added that there was no other family members in sight, and she did not hear any arguments before the incident took place.

Subsequently, the police arrived and cordoned off the area, before checking each floor of the block.

No foul play suspected: Police

In response to Mothership's queries, a police spokesperson said that based on preliminary investigations, they do not suspect foul play.
