A Singaporean woman who resides in Kuching, Sarawak, claimed that her daughter was approached online by a man who said he wanted to "make babies" with her.

Seven years old

According to World of Buzz, the woman, Helen, runs a Facebook account under her daughter's name, where she post from her point of view, mainly about life events, such as celebrating Mother's Day.

But in the past month, the account received multiple messages by a man, who persistently pursued communication with someone whom he believed was a seven-year-old child.

According to Helen, the man did not know that the person he was speaking with was her, not her daughter.

Helen posted 10 screenshots of her conversation with the man, who started by asking her daughter:

"Do you wish for an older brother. I can be your older brother. You can be my younger sister. Is that possible?"

When asked why, he said she was cute, "like a princess", and that the seven-year-old could find him "anytime".

Darker and darker

The conversation then took an even more disturbing turn, when the man requested voice notes and even asked to meet up with the girl.

Saying that she was his favourite being, he then said he wanted to live with her, and in the future, have "many, many children" together.

Again, this is a seven-year-old child he thought he was speaking to, who had identified herself as such several times.

He asked on several occasions if she would like to make a child with him.

He encouraged her to say that she is visiting a friend to "do homework" in order to facilitate a visit, even going so far as to give her a bus stop to meet him at, although it's not clear if the location he referenced is real.

Helen, who said she never let her daughter communicate with the man, seemed to try to get him to reveal his identity during the conversatiuon, by asking for a picture and other details.

But this failed, and when he tried to renew the conversation the next day, she finally blocked him, ending the communication.

Word of warning

She posted about her encounter on Facebook, on her child's Facebook account, still writing in the voice of her daughter.

She said that it was not the first time such a thing has happened, calling the experience "terrifying".

Commentators on her post, which has over a thousand comments and nearly 3,000 shares, were up in arms, with several saying that the woman should report the man to the police. Others suggested vigilante action, such as tracking the man down.

Helen spoke to World of Buzz, saying that it was fortunate that she has been the one handling the Facebook account, noting that her daughter did not see the messages.

She also added that she posted the conversation as a warning for other parents, especially those who have young children.
