Suspected house break-in at Hillview Crescent, valuables missing, police investigating

The police are investigating a suspected case of housebreaking at Hillview Crescent in the early hours of Mar. 2.

In response to Mothership's queries, the police said they received a call for assistance at a residential premise in the area at about 3:50am.

Some valuables were reported missing from the residence.

Hillview Crescent is home to a stretch of landed properties located next to Bukit Gombak Hill.

An 8world reader said they saw several Special Operations Command (SOC) police trucks parked along Hillview Avenue at around 8am on Monday morning.

Another resident told Lianhe Zaobao the police deployed officers and drones to search the area of Bukit Gombak Hill behind the affected house.

In February, two break-ins were reported at separate landed properties in Upper Thomson within days of each other.

A suspicious individual was also sighted in the area a few days after.

The police consequently stepped up security measures in the Upper Thomson area.

Residents are also advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious persons or activities to the police immediately.
