A Malaysian man dressed as Spider-Man fell 20 metres down a hill in Kuala Lumpur and had to be rescued by the Malaysian civil defence force.

According to a Facebook post by Kuala Lumpur's Pertahanan Awam, the Kuala Lumpur District Operations Control Centre received news of the fallen victim at around 5pm on Jan. 30, 2026.

Two rescue teams, which included emergency medical services (EMS), rushed to Bukit Dinding, a forested hill with a height of 291 metres.

The victim was believed to have fallen from a height of 20 metres at a drop of 75 degrees.

Berita Harian reported that the victim injured his leg in the fall.

The rescue

The team climbed uphill for about one kilometre on the established route and another 70 metres off the beaten path.

In photos shared to Facebook, the man was pictured in a full Spider-Man suit, lying limply on the ground.

He was eventually stretchered out of the forested area, and upon arrival at the parked emergency vehicles, the man was handed over to the EMS team for treatment.

The "Spider-Man" was brought to the Kuala Lumpur hospital for further treatment.
