2 cyclists who rode against traffic in Lavender hit a car & ran off, police investigating
Investigations are ongoing.
Police are looking for a pair of cyclists after an alleged hit-and-run accident along Townshend Road in Lavender at around 3:50pm on Jan. 29.
Dashcam footage
The incident first came to public attention after dashcam footage was uploaded onto the Facebook page SG Road Vigilante.
In the video, two cyclists can be seen riding against the flow of traffic along a two-lane road.
The male cyclist, dressed in a black shirt, is seen riding close to the female cyclist and appears to be grabbing her left arm.
As they approached an oncoming car, the woman can be seen leaning towards the man, causing the pair to lose control of their bicycles and crash into the car.

Following the crash, the man is seen speaking briefly to the woman, who was out of the dashcam's view.
He later hopped off his bicycle and waved to the driver.
In a second video, the man can be seen running across the road and speaking to the woman, who was already on the other side.
Both of their bicycles were no longer with them.
The two were then seen talking while gesturing towards the car.

The woman subsequently turned and walked away, with the man following her and again gesturing towards the direction of the car.
In response to Mothership's queries, the police confirmed they were alerted to a hit-and-run accident involving a car and two bicycles along Townshend Road towards Kitchener Road at around 3:50pm on Jan. 29.
No injuries were reported and efforts to trace the cyclists are underway.
Investigations are ongoing.
