Koh stars as a drag queen returning home to care for his mother, who has been diagnosed with dementia, after years of estrangement.
Directed by Ong Kuo Sin, the film draws inspiration from the life of Christopher Lim, more commonly known for his drag alias Sammi Zhen, a full-time drag queen in Singapore.
Veteran film producer Daniel Yun lauded A Good Child as "one of the best Singapore films [he has] seen in a while" and it is distinct from other drag movies.
