Fans left shocked after platform sends notice of Mamamoo Solar's military enlistment

A surprise notice from Solar's official Fromm account was sent to fans stating that Solar's Fromm service would be "temporarily suspended due to her upcoming enlistment", sparking shock and confusion among fans across the Internet.

Idol communication platform says Solar to be enlisted in military

fromm is an idol-fan platform where artistes can communicate with their fans through messages, photos, and videos.

In screenshots shared by fans online, the "fromm SOLAR" service was due to be suspended as of Oct 31, 2025, due to "the artist's enlistment in the military".

Could be a platform error

Online users suggested that it could be a platform error, and fromm might have accidentally used a template meant for male artistes.

However, that definitely didn't stop amused fans from making jokes about the idol's possible enlistment.

At the time of writing, Solar's agency RBW Entertainment has not released an official statement to clarify the situation.

In South Korea, military service is mandatory for all abled males aged 18 to 35. It is not mandatory for women.

Solar is expected to hold a solo concert in Singapore at the Arena@Expo next month on Nov. 22.
