Four students aged 17 in Melaka, Malaysia have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the gang rape of their 15-year-old schoolmate on Oct. 2.
According to New Straits Times (NST), the incident occurred at around 2:50pm in a school in the Alor Gajah town.
Went to retrieve an item, dragged into classroom
The girl, a Form 3 student, had returned to her classroom on the third floor of the school to take a project item.
She was then allegedly pulled into the classroom and raped by two of the Form 5 students.
Two other students stood by to watch and captured the incident on a mobile phone.
The video was then shared online, and the girl's mother filed a police report after she was alerted to the video by a teacher.
Melaka police chief Dzulkhairi Mukhtar confirmed that all four students are being remanded until Oct. 16 for further investigations.

Malaysia Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said that the education ministry will not compromise on any sexual misconduct across all schools, reported Bernama.
She added that the incident was "very regrettable", and that she had ordered the school and other local education authorities to cooperate with ongoing investigations.
The ministry has also instructed education administrators to comply with guidelines pertaining to sexual misconduct management to ensure the safety of all students, teachers and other employees in the education sector.
