A green rubbish bin opposite Thomson Medical Centre at the Balestier-Novena area bade the bus stop goodbye in the afternoon on Dec. 11 as it sailed away to a better life.

The scene was played out in full view of a man having his lunch as he sat looking across the horizon, unperturbed by the heart wrenching image of a dust bin leaving the comforts of land to seek a better life out there.
