Bangladeshi fans clean up National Stadium after S'pore wins 1-0 in Asian Cup qualifying match

Bangladesh lost 1-0 to Singapore in the final Asian Cup qualifying match, but crestfallen away fans remained behind at the National Stadium on Mar. 31 to clean up.

A video on TikTok showed Bangladeshi fans picking up litter and putting them into large plastic bags.

The clip won praise with many commenting that the away fans displayed exemplary behaviour.

There were about 6,000 Bangladeshis located in the away section of the stadium.

Over 30,000 spectators were in attendance.

The Tuesday result saw Bangladesh fail to qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia, as Singapore sealed its place as the lowest-ranked team — 146th — in the tournament.
