A heated argument between a man and a staff member at a Stuff’d outlet in Jurong Point has gone viral, after videos of the incident circulated online.

The clips, which were shared on Instagram on Mar. 31, show both individuals shouting expletives at each other in English and Hokkien. It is unclear what led to the confrontation.

Staff member seen being restrained in video

In one of the videos, the man appears to challenge the staff member to “come” at him.

The worker is then seen retreating into the staff area and returning shortly after, before two female colleagues step in to restrain him.

A second video shows two security officers at the scene while a passer-by repeatedly says, “do not engage,” seemingly attempting to calm the situation.

Videos drew over 200,000 views online

The clips have since garnered more than 200,000 views and hundreds of comments, with netizens divided over who was at fault.

Some criticised the customer’s behaviour.

“Arrest the customer. Protect your service line workers,” one commenter wrote.

Several also praised the woman who intervened during the dispute. “Respect to the lady in blue,” one netizen added.

Stuff’d says investigation underway

In response to queries from Mothership, Stuff’d said it is aware of the incident and is currently looking into the matter.

In a statement, a Stuff’d spokesperson said: “Stuff’d is aware of the matter, and a thorough internal investigation is currently underway to determine the facts.”

They added: “The safety and well-being of our customers and team members remain our highest priority. We are committed to fostering a respectful environment.”
