Bus passenger, 54, taken to hospital after SBS bus collides with truck along Lornie Road

A passenger was taken to hospital after an SBS Transit bus collided with a prime mover along Lornie Road on Friday (Mar. 27) night.

Officers were alerted to the accident at about 10:25pm, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said.
A 54-year-old male passenger was conveyed conscious to hospital, while a 55-year-old male bus driver is assisting with investigations.
The Land Transport Authority said in a traffic update posted at 10:21pm that the accident had occurred on Lornie Road towards Braddell, before Thomson Road, and advised motorists to avoid lanes two and three.
Bus badly damaged
Photos circulating online showed the front of the bus badly damaged, with its windscreen shattered and the front entrance area torn open.
Police investigations are ongoing.
