M'sian politician Syed Saddiq & singer Bella Astillah announce engagement, proposal was on top of Mount Kinabalu

Malaysian politician Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman and singer Bella Astillah announced their engagement today (Mar. 28).
The couple made it Instagram official with a video of Syed Saddiq proposing to Bella on top of Mount Kinabalu, followed by a montage of them dressed in white.
The couple previously hiked Mount Kinabalu, Sabah, in January while decked in traditional Malay outfits as part of a collaboration with fashion brand Primavalet to raise RM6 million (S$1,938,660).
The amount has been channelled directly to people in his constituency of Muar, Johor, according to New Straits Times.
In the Instagram post, they revealed that the proposal took place amidst heavy rain on Mount Kinabalu.
The couple's engagement ceremony will be livestreamed on Astro's platforms at 3:30pm on Mar. 28.
Since 2025
Rumours of the couple's romantic relationship swirled in early 2025, after they appeared together in Primavalet's Hari Raya campaign.
Subsequently, the couple have made public and personal appearances together.
Bella and Syed Saddiq have been seen spending time with each other's families.
