Reached out to man's relative: SBS Transit
Responding to Mothership, Wu said that a service 123 bus was "travelling straight" on the extreme left lane of Havelock Road when the pedestrian "suddenly stepped out" onto the road, leading to the collision.
She added that the company's priority was on the man's well-being, and that its team was at the hospital on Feb. 16 "in an effort to reach out to extend care and concern".
Wu said: "We are deeply saddened by his passing and are still trying to reach out to his next-of-kin to render assistance and support during this difficult time."
SBS Transit is also assisting police investigations in the meantime.
