'S'pore's youngest millionaire' gives S$50 each to 4 construction workers for Valentine's Day
In a bid to "give back".
A TikToker in Singapore decided to spread some love ahead of Valentine’s Day by giving four construction workers S$50 each on the night before Feb. 14.
Entrepreneur Rayston Liow, better known online as Rayston Heem, posted a video of the encounter on TikTok.
The 19-year-old, who describes himself as the “youngest millionaire in Singapore”, is known for sharing content about making money through e-commerce and dropshipping businesses.
Gave S$50 to late-night workers
The caption of the video Liow posted reads: “Blessed to be able to give back.”
The clip opens with Liow filming construction workers at a site opposite his home, noting that they were still hard at work at 10:43pm on the eve of Valentine’s Day.
He said he decided to give them S$50 each so they could buy flowers for their wives the next day.
Liow then approached the four men and asked if they were married.
When they replied that they were, he asked if they had any Valentine’s Day plans.
Taking out two S$100 notes, he told them they could split the money among themselves.
“I think you guys deserve it,” he said. “Go get your wives some flowers tomorrow and treat them good, man.”
No big intention
Speaking to Mothership, Liow said he did not have "any big intention" behind his actions.
"I didn’t have any plans myself that evening, and seeing them working so late just reminded me of how many working adults sacrifice their time and energy every single day. I thought that maybe the small amount could encourage them to get something for their wives or loved ones the next day," he said.
He added that the reason he recorded the video was because they were in the opposite building and he wasn’t sure if he could "reach them physically" at first.
He added, "After I managed to speak to them, they shared that they work long hours until 11pm most days. Hearing that honestly broke my heart."
"I have a lot of respect for people who grind quietly every day for their families," Liow said.
Who is Rayston Liow?
Liow has built an online following by claiming to have earned substantial income through dropshipping.
Dropshipping is a retail model in which a seller markets a product and sets the selling price, then forwards customer orders to a supplier, paying the wholesale price while the supplier ships the product directly to the customer.
In a press release dated Jun. 3, 2025, Liow was reported to have built a seven-figure e-commerce business after “overcoming early academic and personal challenges.”
At 16, Liow apparently quit school to pursue business full-time.
Within two years, he claimed to have established a profitable business and used part of his earnings to purchase luxury items and support his family financially.
Liow is often seen sharing anecdotes and stories of his life and business online.
