Man, 23, to be charged for murder of man, 68, after alleged slashing at Laguna Park condo

A 23-year-old man will be charged for his alleged involvement in the murder of a 68-year-old man at Laguna Park condominium on Nov. 13.

The police said in a release that the man will be charged in court on Nov. 15 with murder.

On Nov. 13, police had received calls for assistance at 5000C Marine Parade Road at about 12:45pm. This is the address of Laguna Park condominium.

Upon the police’s arrival, officers found a 68-year-old injured man at scene.

He was conveyed unconscious to the hospital, where he subsequently passed away.

The 23-year-old man was arrested at scene.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the 23-year-old man and 68-year-old man purportedly had a dispute, the release said.

Two penknives were recovered and seized by the police.

The offence of murder carries the death penalty under Singapore law.

Police investigations are ongoing.
