They were fined S$1,000 and S$500 each.
The court has fined two food catering companies for food safety lapses.
Continental Delight Catering Services and Elsie’s Kitchen Catering Services were fined S$1,000 and S$500 respectively on Apr. 16, 2025.
Multiple food safety lapses
In a press release, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) said that the Ministry of Health (MOH) and SFA in November 2023 received reports of gastroenteritis affecting 107 individuals who had eaten food prepared by Continental Delight Catering Services.
None of the individuals were hospitalised.
MOH and SFA conducted a joint investigation at the catering company's premises at 21 Second Chin Bee Road and found multiple food safety lapses.
This includes a damaged hot-holding metal cabinet, which may cause it to be ineffective in maintaining cooked food at a safe temperature.

The catering company was also required to throw away all cooked food prepared ingredients, perishable food items, and immediate food products.
