The Singapore United Party (SUP) has announced its candidates who will be standing in Ang Mo Kio Group Representative Constituency (GRC).
The opposition party's team comprises:
- SUP secretary-general Andy Zhu
- Party chairman Ridhuan Chandran
- Vincent Ng Kian Guan,
- Noraini Yunus
- Nigel Ng
Candidates
The team will be helmed by Zhu, who is also the party's secretary-general, reported The Straits Times (ST).
Zhu and Noraini ran in the 2020 General Election in the same constituency with 28.09 per cent of the vote.
On Apr. 12, party members went on a walkabout in Teck Ghee to engage residents of the GRC.
The party said that it was "pleasantly surprised" to find that more residents recognised its members.
Its campaign slogan for the 2025 General Election is "Moving Forward, Together!".In its Apr. 18 post, SUP said that it is committed to building a more just and equitable Singapore.
The opposition party noted that it will be "working tirelessly" with the ruling party to achieve such goals, urging the public to learn more about its platform and candidates, and to "vote for a brighter future for all Singaporeans".
With the People's Power Party (PPP) announcing its intention to run in Ang Mo Kio GRC as well, it looks like the constituency might see a three-cornered fight.
