Singapore Airlines (SIA) and All Nippon Airways (ANA) will begin revenue-sharing flights between Singapore and Japan from Sep. 2025.
According to a joint media release on Apr. 17, 2025, the flights will go to new destinations in Japan including Akita, Aomori, Nagoya and more.
Sales for joint fare products on these flights will commence in May 2025.
12 new destinations in Japan
The expansion of the commercial partnership aims to enhance connectivity between Japan and key destinations across Asia, Europe, and North America.
This move is the latest in a series of collaborations between the two Star Alliance carriers since they signed the commercial joint venture agreement in Jan. 2020.
The expanded codeshare services will allow both airlines to offer greater flexibility and a wider range of travel options to passengers.
ANA will have access to 25 destinations across SIA's network, up from 12 previously.
SIA customers will benefit from access to 34 destinations across ANA's network, including ANA's domestic flights to 30 destinations in Japan.
This includes rural parts of Japan like Akita, Aomori, Komatsu, and more.
According to the release, the airlines also intend to expand the scope of the joint venture to include other key markets beyond Japan and Singapore, such as Australia, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
Expansion is "more than a strategic alliance"
On the joint venture, ANA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shinichi Inoue said: "This joint venture with Singapore Airlines is more than a strategic alliance, it embodies ANA's vision to usher in a new era of customer experience that redefines expectations."
SIA CEO Goh Choon Phong said that the partnership will "leverage" the combined strengths of both airlines to significantly enhance their offerings to customers.
