PAR confirms Turritopsis Dohrnii Teo En Ming not their party candidate in GE2025
He's a resident supporter, said the party.
The People's Alliance for Reform (PAR) has confirmed that online personality Turritopsis Dohrnii Teo En Ming is not running as a party candidate in the upcoming General Election.
Responding to a query from Mothership, PAR candidate Michael Fang, who is being fielded in Yio Chu Kang SMC, said that Teo is "merely a resident supporter of PAR".
He is "not a GE candidate in PAR in any sense", said Fang.
Teo recently uploaded a TikTok video of himself and Fang, both dressed in the party's maroon shirt and sporting party badges.
In the video, Fang addressed the residents of Yio Chu Kang and shared that the pair had just completed their walkabout that day.
This came after Teo was seen at the Elections Department, apparently to collect nomination forms.

PAR clarified on the evening of Apr. 17 that resident supporters like Teo asked to wear PAR shirts to boost the party's presence in the area.
Such resident volunteers are "here helping out for the GE 2025 and are non-members", wrote the party.
