Indonesian man, 23, charged with exposing himself to female staff on flight to S'pore
He said he plans to plead guilty.
An Indonesian man has been charged with exposing his genitals to a female flight attendant on an flight en route to Singapore.
Brilliant Angjaya, 23, allegedly flashed the flight attendant when she served him his meal during the Jan. 23 flight.
He was arrested when the plane landed in Singapore.
The incident
According to a Mar. 8 police news release, Angjaya allegedly unzipped his pants to expose his genitals at his seat during the flight, before covering himself with a blanket.
He then set up his mobile phone and switched it to video recording mode.
When the flight attendant served him his meal, Angjaya allegedly removed the blanket and exposed his genitals to her.
The woman reported the matter to her supervisor.
Angjaya was arrested by the police once the plane landed at Changi Airport.
His phone was also seized for investigation.
Intends to plead guilty
Angjaya was charged in court with sexual exposure on Mar. 12, CNA reported.
He was not represented by a lawyer and said he intended to plead guilty.
Angjaya also said he regretted his actions and asked if the court process could be expedited as he has been in Singapore for one and a half months.
The judge replied the prosecution needed more time, and asked Angjaya if he was in Singapore as a visitor.
Angjaya said he was transiting through Singapore.
His case will be adjourned to a later date.
