Due to train fault, train services from Gardens by the Bay & Bayshore MRT stations affected for an hour
The train fault occurred at Tanjong Katong MRT station.
A train fault at Tanjong Katong MRT station early at 5am on Wednesday, Mar. 12 caused disruptions to the Thomson-East Coast Line.
The train fault affected train services between Gardens by the Bay and Bayshore stations.
As a result, there was no train service between these two stations, while trains continued to operate from Woodlands North to Gardens By The Bay.

At 5:41am, SMRT updated on their Facebook that free regular buses will be available between Gardens By The Bay to Bayshore.
At 6:24am, they updated that train services between Woodlands North to Bayshore have been restored.
The free bus services between Gardens By The Bay and Bayshore were then ceased, as train operations had resumed.
Engineers fixed fault
Engineers were on-site to resolve the fault “as quickly as possible”, SMRT said.
The affected train has been safely moved to a rail siding to enable normal train services to resume.
They added that their staff were also on-site to assist commuters, along with station announcements to keep them updated on the situation.
“We are sorry for affecting your morning commute,” SMRT added.
