Tokyo pop-up store lets you shoplift as long as you don't make a single sound

A pop-up event hosted by the TBS radio programme "Nou Tou" lets players shoplift for 60 seconds.

The aim is to try and steal as much as possible without making a single sound.

According to Tokyo Weekender, the pop-up is called "Toh", which translates to "steal" in Japanese.

It will take place at the TBS Akasaka Blitz Studio on the following dates:

• Mar. 13 to 14: From 1pm to 8pm
• Mar. 15 to 16: From 11am to 6pm

200 highly sensitive microphones

Players will enter a marketplace filled with 200 highly sensitive microphones.

Participants will have to leave empty-handed immediately the moment these microphones catch the slightest noise.

Items up for grabs include Baby Star Ramen, pillows and mattresses from Brain Sleep, and apparel from Fruit of the Loom.

Players can take on the challenge in groups of up to four.

These are the entry costs based on the number of people you go with:

• One pax: 1,000 yen (S$9.05)
• Two pax: 1,800 yen (S$16.29)
• Three pax: 2,400 yen (S$21.72)
• Four pax: 2,800 yen (S$25.35)

Tickets were released on Feb. 24 at 12pm on the Japanese ticketing website Ticket Pia.
