First look: Minion Land opens at USS with 3 new rides, dining spots & marketplace

The wait is over.

Illumination's Minion Land, the latest addition to Universal Studios Singapore (USS), has officially opened to the public.

The new area features a variety of themed attractions, dining options and exclusive merchandise, all inspired by the "Despicable Me" and Minions franchises.

Notable attractions include Buggie Boogie, a Minion dance party-themed carousel and the Super Hungry Food Stand, a larger-than-film version of the snack stand from "Despicable Me".

Minion Land is divided into three distinct sections: Minion Marketplace, Gru’s Neighborhood and Super Silly Fun Land.

Minion Marketplace

At the Minion Marketplace, guests can shop for Minion-themed sweets, merchandise and more at three unique stores.

Sweet Surrender

This retail area has candy, apparel, plush toys and homeware.

Pop Store

The store features Minions-inspired fashion items.

Fun Store

Visitors can find themed accessories and toys here.

Gru’s Neighborhood

This area features Gru, Lucy, and the girls—Margo, Edith and Agnes.

Guests can try the Despicable Me Minion Mayhem ride, where visitors can transform into a minion at Gru’s supervillain laboratory.

The area also features the Minute of Minion Mayhem show and character meet-and-greets.

Super Silly Fun Land

This seaside carnival features the Singapore-exclusive Buggie Boogie carousel, where guests can dance to remixed songs by DJ Carl.

Other attractions include Silly Swirly, Space Killer and Ba-Na-Na CaBaNa, a game booth where guests can earn rewards by flipping bananas.

Minions-inspired food

The Super Hungry Food Stand offers a variety of "Despicable Me" and Minions-themed dishes.

Menu items include Unlucky Ducky Creamy Chicken Stew, Stuart’s Japanese Curry Karaage, Super Silly Veggie Burger and Mini-Boss Lunch Box.

Guests can also enjoy Minion-inspired popcorn flavours at Pop-A-Nana.

Ticketing information

Tickets for Universal Studios Singapore start from S$76 for adults and S$59 for children.

Guests can purchase the Universal Express Plus pass, which allows them to skip regular lines at participating rides, including those in Minion Land.

An ala carte top-up option for the Universal Express pass is also available.
