All Singaporean households will receive S$800 in Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers, said Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during his 2025 Budget Statement.
This is part of the government’s move to support Singaporeans amid rising cost pressures.
The vouchers will be disbursed in two tranches: S$500 in May 2025, and the remaining S$300 in January 2026.
They will expire in Dec. 31, 2025 and Dec. 31, 2026 respectively.
As with the previous batches of CDC vouchers, half can be used at participating supermarkets, while the other half can be used at participating heartland merchants and hawkers, PM Wong said.
“While inflation is expected to ease further this year, prices remain high,” he added.
“Singaporeans are still adjusting to these new price realities…therefore in this Budget, I will provide additional support for Singaporeans.”
