Chinese bubble tea chain Naixue has opened its first outlet in Singapore.

If the logo looks somewhat familiar, it's because it was previously here in Singapore under the name Nayuki.

Post-rebranding, it has returned to our shores, opening on the basement floor of Jewel Changi Airport.

Here's the list of drinks it has:

The store sells merchandise and packaged tea leaves if you prefer to steep them yourself.

There's also a small seating area opposite the store.

Here's what we had:

Grape Jin Mu Dan Tea (S$5.50)

It was a refreshing drink with peeled grapes added to it, and felt like it had just the right amount of sweetness to it.

Cheese Cream Strawberry Jasmine Tea (S$4.10)

This strawberry drink was quite tangy and had a slushy consistency to it.

The sourness of the drink was also neutralised by the subtle sweetness of the cheese cap.

Jasmine Milk Tea (S$4.10)

We found that the floral scent of the drink was pretty strong and that the drink wasn't super milky.

Durian Mille Crepes (S$6.50)

This durian mile crepe true to its nature had a very overpowering durian scent — which can be a good or a bad thing, depending on how much you like durians.

However, the crepe was a tad sweet, and didn't have the characteristic bitter aftertaste which most durian bakes have.

Jasmine Swiss Roll (S$3.90)

This bittersweet Swiss roll had quite a strong taste of tea, unlike what you might expect in your usual tea cakes.

Thick-cut Cheese Toast (S$3.90)

This cheese toast had a chewy consistency and we thought that the cheese flavour was more subtle than we would have liked.

We also expected it to be savoury, but it turned out to be sweet instead.

All prices are nett.

This was a media preview at Naixue.
