Malaysian-born actress Michelle Yeoh, 60, has been crowned Best Actress at the 95th Academy Awards for her performance in "Everything Everywhere All At Once".
This is the first time in Oscars' history that an Asian actor has won in this category.
Yeoh said in her acceptance speech:
"For all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight, this is a beacon of hope and possibilities.
This is proof that dreams... Dream big. And dreams do come true.
And ladies, don't let anybody tell you [that] you are ever past your prime.
Never give up."
She was up against:
- Cate Blanchett ("Tár")
- Ana de Armas ("Blonde")
- Andrea Riseborough ("To Leslie")
- Michelle Williams (The Fabelmans)
for the Best Actress award.
The film, in which she plays immigrant laundromat owner Evelyn Wang, swept most of the awards this year.
The team won in seven categories:
- Best Picture
- Best Director
- Best Original Screenplay
- Best Actress
- Best Supporting Actor
- Best Supporting Actress
- Best Film Editing

"Everything, Everywhere All At Once" led the Oscars nominations with a total of 11 nominations, including Best Costume Design and Best Original Score.
