Missed out on last night's supermoon?
Fret not, as next month's full moon happens to be another supermoon.
It will also be the supermoon that's closest to Earth this year, according to EarthSky.
Closest full moon on July 13
A supermoon refers to a full moon when the moon's orbit is closest to Earth, causing it to appear larger and brighter.
Supermoons only occur about three to four times a year, and always consecutively.
This year's biggest and brightest full moon will fall on July 13.
It is the most intense supermoon of the year as the full moon coincides with the day the moon is closest to Earth.
The supermoon in July will be about 240 km nearer than June’s Strawberry Moon.
It will also be about 10 per cent brighter than the regular full moon.
July's supermoon is also known as Buck Moon, as it is when the antlers of male deer, or bucks, are fully grown.
This term was coined by the Native Americans, according to Nasa.
The last supermoon for 2022 will be on August 12.
