[Update on Jan. 17, 2:15pm] In a later update, FairPrice clarified that 2022 is not the year with the "highest number of stores that FairPrice has kept open during the first day of Chinese New Year", as previously mentioned in an earlier press release. The article has been edited to reflect the changes.
A total of 133 FairPrice outlets across Singapore will continue to operate on Feb. 1, the first day of Chinese New Year.
Stores remain open during CNY
The number of FairPrice stores remaining open during the festive season has gradually increased over the years.
Compared to last year's 129 opened stores, there are an additional four stores opened for the festive season this year.
40 stores to open for 24 hours on CNY
Of the 133 stores that will remain open on Chinese New Year:
- 40 stores will operate at their usual 24 hours
- 91 stores will close at 5pm
- Outlets at Jewel and Balmoral Plaza will operate as usual and close at 11pm and 10pm respectively
On the eve of Chinese New Year (Jan. 31), 33 of its stores will remain operating for 24 hours to facilitate any essential shopping needs.
Meanwhile, 117 stores will operate until 5pm on Jan. 31 while FairPrice on Wheels will operate until 2pm.
All FairPrice stores will resume business as usual on the second day of Chinese New Year (Feb. 2).
Deliveries over festive period
FairPrice Online will continue deliveries between 8am to 6pm over the festive period from Jan. 31 to Feb. 2.
Regular delivery timings will resume on Feb. 3.
