T-rex costumes have been around for a while, with people donning them for occasions as diverse as Halloween, reviewing cafe food, and even vaccination.
A boy in Singapore apparently decided that picking up his sister from school would be a suitable occasion too, because why not?
The whole incident was recorded for posterity by the children's mother, who uploaded a video on Facebook on Jul. 23.
Children and adults entertained
The random appearance of a T-rex was — needless to say — a pleasant surprise for the primary schoolers, who gathered around to greet the costumed creature.
And while a T-rex meet and greet session might not be in compliance with Covid-19 safe distancing measures, the small crowd of children dispersed as quickly as it had formed.
Adults who were in the area appeared to be entertained as well.
Heading home with T-rex
The siblings then headed home hand-in-hand.
It is typical of older family members to pick up young children from school for their safety.
But there appeared to be a role reversal as the young girl helped watch out for her brother's safety as he cautiously climbed the steps of an overhead bridge.
"Siblings exist to annoy each other and also to create happiness, for life," wrote the children's mother in a caption on the video.
Aww.
