December continues to be a wet and hot month.
But the abundance of sunshine and rain in the month increases the chance to see a rainbow.
Sure enough, several residents in Singapore were awed by a wide-spanning rainbow on the late afternoon of Dec. 3 after a storm.
Most of the sightings came from the east side and central Singapore.
Here are some photos that captured the beautiful natural phenomenon that day:
At Serangoon
At Bishan
According to Tan, the rainbow lasted for a brief 10 minutes.
At Punggol
At Defu Lane
At Buangkok
Near Istana
While most photos shared online appeared to come from northeast Singapore, Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat managed to catch a glimpse of a double rainbow that afternoon near Istana.
