A Dairy Farm spokesperson said that patrons to Cold Storage have been required to provide their NRIC numbers to check-in at the SafeEntry system since April 27.
This measure has been implemented at Market Place, Jasons, Jasons Deli and Giant Hypermart Tampines and will be progressively implemented to all outlets by first week of May.
To ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons, other measures have been implemented such as safe distancing, mandatory wearing of masks, limiting the number of customers in-store, and temperature screenings.
A Sheng Siong spokesperson also confirmed that all outlets are using the SafeEntry system to scan patrons' NRIC cards.
Bringing the identification card will help facilitate the registration process at the entrance, the spokesperson added
Besides NRIC cards, patrons can present any form of identity cards with one's official photo, such as Driving Licence, Work Permit or Silver PAssion Card for verification at the supermarkets.
