Delivery worker, 22, dies after jumping from 13th floor of India building, was family's sole breadwinner after father passed

A tragic incident recorded on closed-circuit camera television (CCTV) showed a delivery worker in India jumping to his death.

The 22-year-old man, who worked at Domino's Pizza, was seen standing in the corridor of an apartment building, having just made a delivery to a household.

He then walked over to the adjacent railing and looked over it.

He continued to look around the corridor for a moment and appeared to be contemplating before climbing over the railing and letting go.

Mounting debts

The man has been identified as Manav Patel from Gujarat, reported Timeline.

Patel was allegedly facing significant financial distress as the sole breadwinner of his family after his father died over a year ago.

According to sources who spoke to the Times of India, Patel's family had mounting debts, and Patel had been working double shifts delivering pizzas and ice cream to support themselves.

Patel leaves behind a mother and sister.

Police are currently investigating the case.
