Man, 78, found dead at foot of Marine Crescent HDB block

A 78-year-old man was found dead at the foot of Block 27 Marine Crescent on May 19.

Responding to media queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said they were alerted to a case of fall from height at about 1:20pm.

The man was found lying motionless at the foot of the block.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic.

Based on preliminary investigations, the police do not suspect foul play.

Police investigations are ongoing.

An eyewitness who wrote to Stomp said they heard a loud bang.

They saw a white sheet covering the body.

Blood was also seen on the ground when police officers moved the body.
