A dispute over a Private Mobility Device (PMD) parked along an HDB corridor in Ang Mo Kio allegedly escalated and led to an elderly woman being caught on CCTV throwing her neighbours’ shoes down the block.
The incident took place at block 314 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 on May 8.
Dispute allegedly started over PMD repair
Speaking to Mothership, a resident claimed that the elderly woman would regularly park her PMD outside the family’s unit along the corridor.
That day, she arranged for the PMD to be repaired outside the resident’s father’s home, which upset him.
The resident said their father expressed his unhappiness to the family’s domestic helper, following which the elderly woman supposedly called the police.
Two officers later attended to the matter, though the resident claimed there was "no confrontation" between either party.
Woman allegedly throws shoes down block
Later that night at around 10:46pm, the family’s CCTV captured the woman allegedly approaching their unit while shielding herself with an umbrella.
She was then seen allegedly taking three pairs of shoes belonging to the resident’s father and helper before throwing them over the corridor wall and downstairs.
A police report was made on May 9 at around 5:20pm.
In response to Mothership’s queries, the police confirmed that a police report was lodged.
The resident said they hope the matter can still be resolved amicably through “an apology and compensation for the damaged or lost items”.
