M'sia man, 18, gets decapitated after lamp post falls onto van in freak accident

An 18-year-old man was killed in a freak vehicular accident involving a car and a van in Terengganu, Malaysia.
Two other individuals were also injured.
Accident
The accident occurred along Jalan Losong Feri near Kampung Losong Panglima Perang on May 19 at about 3:36pm, Harian Metro reported.
According to local police, the deceased, identified as Wah Han Keong, and his father were in a Nissan Vanette van making its way from Taman Manir towards Kuala Terengganu.
A Volkswagen Golf GTI driven by a 43-year-old man was believed to have lost control before skidding.
The car crashed into a street lamp post in the middle of the road, before veering into the opposite lane and colliding with the van.
The collision caused the lamp post to fall onto the van.
The car was travelling from Kuala Terengganu towards Muzium Losong with the driver's 31-year-old wife and their three children, aged one, eight, and 11, on board.
Fatality
According to Sin Chew Daily, the impact of the falling lamp post apparently caused the victim's head to be separated from his body, killing him on the spot.
The deceased's father sustained minor injuries to his hands, while the eight-year-old in the Volkswagen sustained minor leg injuries.
Police are investigating the case as causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
