Man, 23, arrested after 5-hour stand-off in Woodlands, seen throwing glass bottles from 2nd floor unit
A safety life pack was deployed.

A 23-year-old man was arrested after a five-hour standoff with police at Block 687A Woodlands Drive 75 on May 20 night.
The man was seen throwing items, including glass bottles from a second-floor unit.
The glass bottles shattered on the ground below.
The police cordoned off the area.
Onlookers were seen gathered across the road from the block.

Man locked himself in flat
The stand-off on Wednesday apparently started at about 5pm.
The police said they received a call for assistance at about 6pm that day.
Police officers arrived and found that the man had locked himself in his home.
They subsequently managed to enter the unit at about 10:20pm.
The man was arrested for rash act and taken to Woodlands Hospital.
An eyewitness said the man's mother had called the police the day before the incident.
Multiple police and SCDF vehicles spotted
Officers from the Special Operations Command, Crisis Negotiation Unit and SCDF were deployed to the scene as the man was assessed to pose a possible danger to himself.
Police cars, special operations command tactical vehicles, a fire engine, and an ambulance were spotted.
The Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (Dart) rescue vehicle was also there.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said a safety life pack was deployed and Dart rescuers were on standby as a precautionary measure.
