Car doesn't slow down at Hougang Ave 8 zebra crossing: Driver, 60, hits cyclist, 51
The cyclist was sent crashing to the ground.
A car driver was caught on camera hitting a cyclist in Hougang on Apr. 12 morning.
The accident occurred at about 11:50am at the Hougang Avenue 8 slip road.
A 51-year-old man was taken to hospital.
Dashcam footage showed the car hitting the cyclist at the zebra crossing.
It was drizzling at the time and the roads were wet.
The silver car appeared to slow down, but did not stop and crashed into the cyclist, who was sent flying.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the cyclist was conveyed conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
The police said a 60-year-old man is assisting with ongoing police investigations.
